I had a realization the other day. Three weeks into this imperfect snacking and I have made healthier changes I’m really proud of. It happened today when I walked into my kitchen for an afternoon snack. Sure, I could have made kettle corn or white cheddar popcorn and then wrote about it today as “what not to do”. But I didn’t. I made a healthy decision to have a quick kale/fruit smoothie and some smoked almonds.
Another healthy change I’ve made is regularly exercising. I go through a couple months without any exercise and I always feel terrible. I’m hoping this habit is here to stay. As I’ve been more mindful about what I’m eating, it’s made me want to treat and train my body well. Cheers to that!
There’s of course candy corn and peanut butter m&ms, but we’re talking healthier changes, not only-healthy-all-the-time right? Who has time for that?
This series is called Imperfect Snacking–not because snacking should be perfect–but because it’s not and that’s just fine.
I think some of YOU have made some healthier changes as well. I’d love to hear what those have been in the comments below! As I near the final stretch of this 31 days (blogging straight without a break), if you have suggestions or things you’d like to see on here, I’d love to hear your thoughts!
